Obwohl uns der Hafen und die Insel&nbsp; wirklich begeistert haben, wurden wir dann am n\u00e4chsten Tag leider vom &#8222;Englischen Sommer&#8220; begr\u00fc\u00dft, also Regen, viel Regen, Nieselregen, weniger Regen &#8230; u.s.w. Was tut man an so einem Tag: ausschlafen, aufr\u00e4umen, auf die n\u00e4chsten T\u00f6rns vorbereiten. Ausschlaggebend daf\u00fcr ist der &#8222;Trans-Europe-Marinas&#8220; Verbund (www.transeuropemarinas.com), zu dem gl\u00fccklicherweise auch unser Heimathafen in Ueckerm\u00fcnde geh\u00f6rt. In diesem Verbund sind europaweit knapp 100 Sportbooth\u00e4fen bzw. Marinas organisiert. Als Gastlieger aus einem der Mitgliedsh\u00e4fen bekommt man in jeder dieser Marinas f\u00fcr bis zu 5 Tagen 50% Rabatt auf das Liegegeld &#8230; hat sich f\u00fcr uns schon mehrmals bezahlt gemacht. Nach einer sehr kurzen und ausnahmsweise sonnigen \u00dcberfahrt von Guernsey haben wir am sp\u00e4ten Dienstag Nachmittag den Anker auf der Ostseite der Insel in der Belvoir Bay fallen lassen. So ganz geheuer ist uns das Ankern in Tidengew\u00e4ssern noch nicht, daher fiel der Anker bei Hochwasser und ca. 10 m Tiefe; 50 m Kette raus &#8211; muss reichen, mehr haben wir auch nicht! Bis zur K\u00fcste hatten wir einen recht gro\u00dfz\u00fcgigen Sicherheitsabstand gehalten &#8230; was sich dann leider in der Nacht ger\u00e4cht hat. Die Bucht bot uns zwar guten Schutz vor den vorhergesagten Westwinden, allerdings haben wir nicht mit einer derartig starken Str\u00f6mung und der damit einhergehenden ruppigen Welle besonders beim Wechsel des Gezeitenstroms gerechnet. An Schlaf war nicht zu denken, wir rollen von back-auf steuerbord in der Koje hin und her. Also haben wir uns am n\u00e4chsten Tag bei Niedrigwasser weiter in die Bucht verkrochen. Diesmal fiel der Anker auf 2.80m (weniger Wasser als bei Ebbe wirds nicht), 30 m Kette raus &#8230; sch\u00f6n, gleich viel ruhiger! Obwohl es immer noch nieslig tr\u00fcb war, wollten wir die kleine fast unber\u00fchrt wirkende Insel endlich erkunden. Also Dingi an Bord aufgepumpt und ab gings durch die Wellen zur Belvoir Bucht. Was soll ich sagen &#8211; traumhaft sch\u00f6n auch bei Regen! Ein kurzer Spaziergang Richtung Nord- und S\u00fcdspitze muss f\u00fcr heute dennoch erstmal reichen. Wir wollen Selene nur ungern l\u00e4ngere Zeit alleine am Anker in der Bucht vor sich hin schwoien lassen.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1759\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1759\" data-src=\"https:\/\/martin-kuettner.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/P1030290-1024x576.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Zur\u00fcck auf dem Boot stellten wir dann fest, dass die anf\u00e4ngliche Ruhe heute Mittag bei Niedrigwasser leider nicht von langer Dauer war. Das bischen Wind reichte nicht aus damit sich das Boot nach der Windrichtung ausrichtet. Und so wippen wir schon wieder munter in der Gezeitenstr\u00f6mung. Besonders bei Stauwasser dreht sich das Schiff quer zur Welle, es schaukelt, rollt, scheppert &#8211; einfach nervig! Wie oft wir uns mitlerweile um den Anker gedreht haben, wei\u00df ich nicht &#8230; ich wei\u00df ja nicht mal mehr wo er liegt. Was wir noch probieren k\u00f6nnen, w\u00e4re den Zweitanker zu nutzen: gesagt, getan! Martin hatte in weiser Vorraussicht noch ein 50 m Tau gekauft, eigentlich eher f\u00fcr den Schleppanker, aber so kommt es eben jetzt zum Einsatz. Mit dem Dingi bringt Martin den Anker aus, am Heck festgemacht &#8211; funktioniert! Bis &#8230; ja bis &#8230; in der Nacht der Gezeitenstrom wechselt! D.h. Nachts halb eins im Schl\u00fcbber raus, Anker vom Heck an den Bug kn\u00fcppern, ab in die Koje. Das Spiel wiederholt sich dann aller 6 Stunden!<\/p>\n<p>Dementsprechend erholsam war somit auch die zweite Nacht. Aber egal, nicht lange fackeln, heute wollen wir uns die in Privatbesitz befindliche Insel mal eingehend anschauen. Bei einer Gesamtfl\u00e4che von gerade mal&nbsp; 1.5 km\u00b2 wird das eher ein kurzer Spaziergang denn eine ausgedehte Expedition. Die nette Bedinung im Strandkiosk hatte uns gestern noch den Tipp gegeben, unbedingt entlang der K\u00fcste das Eiland zu umrunden. Auf der Westseite g\u00e4be es eine kleine &#8222;Ortschaft&#8220; (keien 20 H\u00e4user), einen sch\u00f6nen kleinen Hafen sowie einen F\u00e4hranleger, an dem 8x t\u00e4glich 250 Touristen von Gurnsey auf Herm auskippt und Abends wieder abholt werden.&nbsp; Au\u00dferdem findet in eben diesen Tagen ein kleines Festival statt, was wir unbedingt besuchen sollen &#8211; das Herm Harbour Beer Festival! Der Spaziergang \u00fcber die Insel und entlang der K\u00fcste ist tats\u00e4chlich wundersch\u00f6n, von den unz\u00e4hligen Touristen sieht man nur wenig (die sind sicher alle beim &#8222;Festival&#8220;). Unber\u00fchrte Natur, schroff, abweisend und lieblich zugleich,&nbsp; interesannte Mischung aus Palmen, Agaven zwischen Unmengen von Gestr\u00fcp und tausende Brombeerb\u00fcsche. Es f\u00fchren nur unbefestigte Wanderwege um und \u00fcber die Insel, Stra\u00dfen gibt es nicht auf Herm denn es gibt auch keine Autos. Fortbewegt wird sich hier ausschlie\u00dflich zu Fu\u00df oder zu Pferd. nach Herm Harbour<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In der kleinen vertr\u00e4umten Ortschaft Herm Harbour ist tats\u00e4chlich der Hafen das gr\u00f6\u00dfte, vielleicht 10 &#8211; 12 H\u00e4uschen stehen rund um die Bucht, ein Pub, ein Gift-Shop und etwas abseits das White-House-Hotel welches allerdings einen sehr elit\u00e4ren (teuren) Eindruck macht &#8211; thats it! Der Hafen liegt gerade trocken (Niedrigwasser) und wir sehen zum ersten Mal wie eine Yacht mit Kurzkiel &#8222;trocken f\u00e4llt&#8220;: auf ihrem Kiel stehend, an die Kaimauer gelehnt und nur mit einer St\u00fctze gegen das Umfallen gesichert &#8230; wir schauen uns beide an und sind uns sicher, dass wir da nicht ruhig schlafen k\u00f6nnten&#8230;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1779\" laaaangen Wanderung (45 min) anschauen. Verk\u00f6stigt werden k\u00f6nnen bis zu 18 verschiedene Biere &#8211; englische nat\u00fcrlich &#8211; also null Kohlens\u00e4ure. Was soll ich sagen (als Frau) &#8211; is halt Bier, nur eben bissl wie schaal. Martin nimmt die Sache schon genauer. Probiert werden 3 verschiedene Ales &#8211; das Urteil ist \u00e4hnlich: englisches Bier &#8211; keine Kohlens\u00e4ure &#8211; aber es dreht gut. Wir brechen unsere Excursion in die Welt der &#8222;Ales&#8220; dann doch recht schnell ab. Zum einen haben wir noch nix richtiges bis auf ein Sandwich gegesssen und somit wirkt das erste Pinte schon ganz gut zum anderen kommt gleich die F\u00e4hre aus St. Peter Port und bring die n\u00e4chsten 250 Testteilnehmer &#8230; also schnell weg. zur\u00fcck zu SELENE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Zur\u00fcck auf dem Boot werden die Vorbereitungen f\u00fcr den n\u00e4chsten Tag getroffen und nochmal das Wetter gecheckt. Sieht nach wie vor sehr gut aus um in einem Rutsch mit Ostwind nach Camaret-sur-Mer zu kommen und damit den letzten langen Schlag bis an die Biskaya zur\u00fcck zu legen. Schade zwar, dass wir somit die H\u00e4fen der Bretagne komplett auslassen, aber das wichtigere Ziel ist im Moment, die gute Wetterlage auf der Biskaya zu nutzen bevor erneut anhaltende Westwinde die \u00dcberfahrt erschweren oder gar unm\u00f6glich machen.<\/p>\n<p>Freitag Mittag lichten wir den Anker und nehmen die letzten 130 sm im \u00c4rmelkanal in Angriff. F\u00fcr die n\u00e4chsten 3 Tage ist ein konstantes Ostwindfeld vorhergesat und wir k\u00f6nnen zum erstan Mal nach einer gef\u00fchlten Ewigkeit mit R\u00fcckenwind segel &#8211; perfekt! Knackpunkt wird eher der Gezeitenwechsel sein: f\u00fcr die Strecke rechnen wir schon mit gut 24 h vielleicht auch 28 h. Somit werden wir zweimal den Strom mit uns und zweimal gegen uns haben. Auf den ersten 60 &#8211; 70 Meilen l\u00e4\u00dft sich das noch ganz gut kalkulierne, ab der \u00cele de Vierge bzw. Roches de Portsall wird`s dann jedoch interessant. In den Str\u00f6mungskarten sind Tidenstr\u00f6me von bis zu 5.5 kn im Chenal du Four bei Springzeit angegeben &#8211; und richtig, wir haben gerade Vollmond! Das Vorsegel haben wir ausgebaumt, denn die D\u00fcnung ist nach wie vor recht hoch wodurch uns die Genua st\u00e4ndig einfallen w\u00fcrde. Guernsey wird nach und nach immer kleiner am Horizont und wir bekommen zum ersten Mal Besuch von Delphinen &#8211; soooo sch\u00f6n (man h\u00f6rt es vielleicht ein wenig im Video \ud83d\ude09 ) Eine doch recht gro\u00dfe Schule mit vielleicht 10 &#8211; 15 Tieren (die sind ja so schnell und sehen alle gleich aus) schwimmt um Selens Bug, springen aus den Wellen, schie\u00dfen unter dem Schiff durch und haben anscheinend ihren Spa\u00df, mit uns ein St\u00fcck in die gleiche Richtung zu segeln bzw. zu schwimmen. Wir hatten erst ein paar Tage vorher \u00fcberlegt, ob es im \u00c4rmelkanal Delphine gibt &#8211; und tatata, da sind sie. So schnell wie Sie da waren sind sie auch leider nach 10 Minuten schon wieder weg &#8211; schade! Und so kommt es wie es kommen musste, wir erreichen knapp 3 Stunden sp\u00e4ter als gehofft die Einfahrt zum Chenal du Four. Anfangs schiebt uns die Str\u00f6mung zusammen mit einem lauen L\u00fcftchen an der bretonischen K\u00fcste vorbei &#8211; wundersch\u00f6n in der Morgensonne. Dann setzt der Tidenstrom langsam gegenan. Um der starken Str\u00f6mung ein wenig auszuweichen zirkelt Martin&nbsp; in blindem Vertrauen auf unsere Seekarten Selene so dicht es geht an der K\u00fcste zwischen unz\u00e4hligen Riffen und Untiefen hindurch. Ohne Wind muss da leider der Perkins mal wieder ran. Am Pointe de St. Matthieu, Camaret ist nur noch 15 Meilen entfernt und schon fast in Sichtweite, machen wir zwar 6 kn Fahrt durchs Wasser aber nur noch 0.5 kn \u00fcber Grund &#8211; noch mehr Tidenstrom und wir stehen! Das Navi-System zeig noch 22 h Fahrt an -super!
